CHEROKEE COUNTY SUPPLEMENTAL DECLARATION OF A LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY No. 3 - VACATING SUPPLEMENTAL ORDERS 1 AND 2WHEREAS, a declaration of a State of Emergency has and continues to be necessary for the safety of the citizens and residents of Cherokee County.WHEREAS, emergency orders entered until this date have served to protect the citizens and residents of Cherokee County during a time of rapid spread of and mortality from the COVID-19 virus.WHEREAS, since the time of the issuance of a State of Emergency in Cherokee County, the Governor of the State of North Carolina has issued executive orders designed to deter the spread of the COVID-19 virusWHEREAS, the citizens of the Cherokee County are in need to resume operation of the local economy.WHEREAS, maintaining a State of Emergency in Cherokee County remains necessary to facilitate expedient actions should the spread of COVID-19 require such.WHEREAS, a majority of the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners, after a special meeting on 27 April 2020, are in support of the actions herein taken.THEREFORE, pursuant to the Cherokee County Emergency Ordinance the following is ORDERED and DECREED:1. That ALL prior emergency orders issued by the Chairman of the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners pursuant to the ongoing COVID-19 State of Emergency are vacated.2. That Cherokee County remains under a State of Emergency until further notice.Effective Date: This order shall become effective at 11:59 PM on April 30th, 2020.This the 27th day of April 2020.
