Cherokee County 911 received its first 911 call February 25, 2000. We started out receiving all 911 calls for the county. We dispatched for Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Rescue Departments and Andrews Police Department. We would transfer non-emergency calls to the appropriate agencies including the Sheriffs Office. After our first month we started full dispatch for the Sheriffs Office.
