Emergency Medical Services(EMS)

PROVIDING PARAMEDIC AND AMBULANCE SERVICES TO CHEROKEE COUNTY

Cherokee County EMS operates an advanced service at the Paramedic level. Our service has two stations. Station 1 is located in the County Annex building in Murphy. Station 2 is located next door to District Memorial Hospital in Andrews. We have two Medics at each station and two on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Cherokee County EMS works under Medical Control at Murphy Medical Center, Emergency Department. Dr Michael Manning is our medical director.

MISSION STATEMENT

EMS shall provide expedient, quality care while maintaining a courteous and caring attitude toward each patient. EMS employees shall be professional at all times. It is our goal to treat each patient as if he or she was a family member. In any situation, quality and caring patient care is our number one priority.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Cherokee County EMS Continuing Education Department is held at Station 1 at 9:00 on the second Tuesday of every month.
