Immunizations are provided at the Murphy Clinic on a walk-in basis.

Andrews Health Center also provides immunizations but are by appointment only. Call 828-835-4536 to schedule an appointment.

Vaccines for Children (VCF) Eligibility Criteria

Some vaccines are only free for persons who are eligible for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program. To be eligible, children must be 18 years of age or younger and meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • Medicaid eligible
  • Uninsured
  • American Indian
  • Alaskan Native
  • Underinsured (Private insurance coverage does not include vaccines)


Available Immunizations       

All requires vaccines and many recommended vaccines are available at the Health Department. Some are free of charge for certain high-risk groups and others are available for a fee.


Travel Immunizations

CCHD does not provide travel immunizations. Please visit Clay County Health Department (828)389-8052 or Macon County Public Health Center (828)349-2081 for the most commonly needed travel immunizations.
