The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners meet regularly on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m., unless otherwise posted. If a holiday falls on a Monday meeting date, the meeting will be held on Tuesday following the holiday. Meetings, unless otherwise posted, are held in the multi-purpose room #342 of the Cherokee County Courthouse.

January 17th meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 24th-NOTE: This meeting was cancelled.
The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Wednesday March 1st at 5:30 pm for the board to meet with the architect and engineer to discuss the courthouse lantern/dome project. The meeting will be held in the Commissioner's boardroom at the courthouse.
March 6 - NOTE: This meeting has been cancelled.
March 23-The Board will hold a Listening Session at 6:30 p.m. to receive input from Cherokee County citizens, as to what the 2017-18 spending priorities should be.
April 3-This meeting has now been changed back to this original date; and the April 4th meeting has been cancelled.
May 11th-Departmental Budget Worksession; beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the commissioners boardroom.
May 12th-Departmental Budget Worksession; beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the commissioners boardroom.
May 15-The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing during this regular meeting, for the purpose of receiving comments on the fiscal year 2017-2018 proposed budget.
May 23-Special Called Worksession-The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners will hold a budget worksession on Tuesday, May 23rd at 6:30 p.m.

Persons interested in being placed on the agenda, must contact the County Manager's office and complete a form providing their name, address, telephone number, detailed reason for the request, and any supporting documentation; or, complete the Agenda Request Form above and return to the County Manager's office no later than 5:00 PM on the Monday of the week prior to the requested meeting date.
- Depending on the length of the agenda, requests may be postponed to a future meeting.
- Confirmations will be provided no later than the Friday prior to the Monday meeting.
An open forum period is provided at the beginning and at the end of each regular meeting for the purpose of inviting dialogue between the public and their elected officials.
